LUTSK CLINICAL MATERNITY HOSPITAL

Lutsk Clinical Maternity Hospital is a state treatment and prophylactic establishment of the III level that provides specialized medical care for pregnant, women in childbirth, women recently confined, newborns, gynaecological patients.

The institution led by Tokarchuk Mychailo, obstetrician-gynaecologist of higher qualifying category, consists of Antenatal Clinic for 300 visits in one shift (medical staff works in two shifts) and 235 bedded hospital, where 12 departments function.

There are 122 doctors, including 2 psychologists, 242 workers of paramedical personnel and 132 people of junior medical personnel.

The young specialists preparation is carried through the branch of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Chair of Continuous Medical Education Faculty of Lviv State Medical University.

Since October 2003 the Maternity Hospital has been working according to American Mother and Infant Health Project and has been introducing new perinatal technologies of WHO, that are based on EBM principles.

June 8-9, 2004 the institution was certified for the status "Baby Friendly Hospital". The interregional trainings in EBM and modern perinatal technologies are conducted here with participation of WHO international experts.

Since February 2004 Lutsk Clinical Maternity Hospital has had access to Internet that has allowed to get connection with medical establishments from many countries.
