Basic guidelines:

• providing timely and effective specialized anaesthetic care for pregnant, women in birth and gynaecological patients
• intensive care, renovation, correction and support of impaired functions of vital organs and systems up to their stabilization
• preparation and carrying out of general anaesthesia during the operations, deliveries, diagnostic and treatment procedures
• providing twenty-four-hour care for pregnant, women in birth, women recently confined and gynaecological patients which are found in the hospitals of Volyn region and determination of necessity for their transportation and hospitalization in ICU (about 30 departures a year)
• organizational - methodical work and raising the qualification level of anaesthetists in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care of Obstetric and Gynecological Pathology

Prospects:

• introduction of new medical technologies and methods of anaesthetization and intensive care of pregnant, women in birth, women recently confined and gynaecological patients
• use of sufficient and safe methods of anaesthetic care
• introduction of EBM principles with the purpose of only effective technologies application
• complete supplying the department with modern anesthesia-respiratory and observation apparatus
